Yakın gelecekte geçen filmde Toorop adında bir misyonerden, genç bir kızı Rusya'dan Çin'e götürmesi istenir. Bunun sıradan bir görev olduğunu zanneden Toorop, bu kızın bir Mesih olma potansiyeline sahip bir organizma taşıdığını öğrenince işin rengi değişecektir. Kızı, peşlerindeki kişilerden korumak artık Toorop’un görevidir.
