İstese de istemese de o bir süper kahraman.

Ergenlik çağındaki Jamie Reyes, en yakın arkadaşları olan Paco ve Brenda ile okuldan dönerken tuhaf bir böceğe rastlarlar. Reyes, tuhaf bir arsaya gömülü olan böceği incelemek için eve götürmeye karar verir. Ancak gece olduğunda böcek canlanır ve Jamie’nin omurgasına yerleşir. Bu durum üzerine Jamiei hızını ve gücünü arttıran bir kostüme sahip olur. Bu kostüm sayesinde Jamie ayrıca silah, kanat ya da kalkan üretebilmektedir.
