Kongo’ya; çok özel bir bileşen taşıyan dev elmasları bulmak üzere giden ekipten haber alınamaz. İzlerini bulmak için peşlerinden bir ekip daha yollanır, bu sıradışı ekipte bir CIA profesörü, bir elektronik uzmanı, define avcısı bir rehber, özel bir aletle konuşabilen eğitimli bir goril olan Amy de vardır. Ormanın vahşi tuzaklarıyla, ısıya duyarlı füzelerle, dev hipopotamlarla karşılaşan ekip; Amy’nin onları kayıp şehir Zinj’deki elmas madenlerine götüreceğine inanır.
