The Office, orijinal versiyonun yayınlanmasından tam 13 yıl sonra David Brent: Life on the Road isimli bir filmle geri dönerek ana karakteri David Brent’i ayrı eve çıkartıyor. Brent, The Office’deki işinden emekli olduktan sonra biriktirdiği parasıyla masrafları kendisine ait olmak üzere bir müzik grubu kurar ve bu grupla turneye çıkar. Amacı her zaman hayalini kurduğu gibi bir rock yıldızı olabilmektir. Foregone Conclusion adını verdikleri grupta söz yazarlığı ve solistlik yapan Brent, artık kırklı yaşların sonuna geldiğinden hayatında değişiklik aramaktadır. Müzik piyasasında söz sahibi olmak isteyen kahramanımızın tahmin edilebileceği gibi yetenekleri de oldukça sınırlıdır.
