Bir İngiliz antropologist, Mançurya'nın donmuş diyarlarında, fosil kronolijisinde kayıp bir halka olabileceğine inandığı donmuş bir canavar fosili keşfeder. Bu fosili Trans-Sibirya tren hattıyla Avrupa'ya getirmeye karar verir. Fakat yolculuk boyunca bu canavarın buzları yavaş yavaş çözülür ve çözüldükten sonra yolcuları bir bir katletmeye başlar.
