Karikatürün konusu, Güneş hanedanının veliaht prensi olan büyük okçu Prens Rama'nın hikayesini aktarıyor. Görevine ve babasına sadık Rama, kardeşi ve eşi Sita ile 14 yıl boyunca ormana gider. Güçlü iblis Ravana, Sita'yı kaçırır ve onu Sri Lanka'ya götürür, bu da iblisler ve maymun bedenlerinde doğum yapan tanrılardan oluşan Rama ordusu arasında açık bir savaşa neden olur.
