New York’taki apartman dairesinde zorunlu tatili sırasında arka penceresinden komşularını dürbünle seyrederek zaman geçirmektedir. Jeff, yine bir seyri sırasında komşusunun, karısını öldürdüğünden şüphelenir. Olayı araştırmaları için fotomodel sevgilisi Lisa Carol Fremont ve hasta bakıcısı Stella’dan yardım ister.
