Bir gün kendisinden yaşça büyük bir kadın Richard Colliere (Christopher Reeve) antika altın bir saat verir ve birlikte zamanda yolculuk yapmaları için onu ikna etmeye çalışır. Yıllar sonra Richard güzeller güzeli genç bir bayanın (Jane Seymour) resmini görerek kendinden geçer. Bayanın daha ileriki yaşlarda çekilmiş başka bir fotoğrafı gerçekleri ortaya çıkarır. Bu fotoğrafın kendisine altın saat veren kadına ait olduğunu anlayan Collier, 1912ye geri dönüp onu bekleyen aşkını bulmayı kafasına koyar..
