Kontes Jeanne De La Motte-Valois bundan ikiyüz yılı aşkın süre önce düzenlediği entrikalar, suçlamalar ve baştan çıkarmalar sonucunda Kraliçe Marie Antoinette ve Kral 16. Louis'nin giyotine giden sonlarının mimarı olmuştu. Bu aynı zamanda 800 yıllık Fransız monarşisinin de sonu olacaktı.
