Annesini kaybeden yavru ayı Youk'u, yaşamının ilk yazında zorlu bir hayatta kalma mücadelesi beklemektedir. Sadece yırtıcı hayvanlar değil, avcılar da ormanda kol gezer. Yapayalnız bu yavrunun hayatı, yetişkin ayı Kaar'a rastlayınca değişir. Ancak izlerini süren iki avcı, ayıların ortak kaderini belirleyecektir.
