Fotoğrafçı Leon, Metro Kasabı diye adlandırılan bir seri katilin tüm risklerine rağmen peşine düşer. Çektiği fotoğraflardan yola çıkarak ipuçları arıyordur. Yıllarca metroda kaybolan insanlara ne olduğunun gizemini çözmeye çalışmaktadır. Yaptığı araştırmalarla, çok geçmeden seri katilin kim olduğuna ulaşacaktır. Filmin konusu, korku hikayesi yazarı Clive Barker'ın kısa hikayesi olan ve aynı ismi taşıyan The Midnight Meat Train (1984) adlı eserden esinlenmiştir.
