Buzz Lightyear adlı yeni çıkan oyuncak, Andy'e hediye edilir. Oyuncağı çok seven Andy, eski gözdesi Şerif Woody'e olan ilgisini yitirir. Bir gün Buzz yanlışlıkla pencereden aşağı uçunca, herkes Woody'nin onu öldürdüğüne inanır. Woody, kendisini kurtarabilmek için Buzz'ın arkasından giderek onu geri getirmeye karar verir. Fakat ikiliyi dış dünyada büyük tehlikelerle dolu maceralar beklemektedir.
